WHAT IS WATERLOO UNDERGROUND?

Waterloo Underground was hatched as a plan by a couple of rabid Kinks fans dreaming of a reunion for the band. During the last 23 years since the band’s last show, regular rumors would erupt about the possibility of the band getting back together. Hopes would flare and then dim, and after a while, fans became leery of wishing too hard for a show by Ray Davies, Dave Davies, and Mick Avory - the three living members of the original Muswell Hill lineup.. In April 2018, Dave Davies performed as a solo act in New York City, a show which inspired longtime Kinks fan Miriam to dream that the lads were again blazing away onstage. The fact that the dream involved Ray, Dave, Mick and also the deceased Pete Quaife, at their 1966 best, walking on the beach, seemed not to deter the adamant belief that the dream foretold a reunion. A kountdown began with a daily musical meditation and konstant listening to Kinks music, moreso than ever before. Kuriously, when summer came along, Miriam happened upon her long lost friend, fellow Kinks fan Marc, and the pair embarked on kompiling a weekly two hour radio show dedicated to the Kinks and a drive toward a reunion. The show, called Waterloo Underground, can be heard worldwide ev-er-y Friday night 6-8 EDT at luxuriamusic . That is 3-5 Pacific time, 11 PM Muswell Hil time, and midnight in the EU. Join hosts Marc and Miriam at the worlds first and only two hour weekly all-Kinks fan blast for news and gossip about the reunion idea, plus letters and call-ins from fans encouraging the band to get back together!
